The White Rose resistance circle were a group of students and a professor at the University of Munich who, in the early 1940s, secretly wrote and distributed anti-Nazi pamphlets, defying Hitler through words and ideas. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first distribution of these pamphlets, Alexandra Lloyd, together with Rachel Herring and Amy Wilkinson, two students from the University of Oxford who worked on the recent translation of the pamphlets, will trace the journey of a group of ordinary people who did extraordinary things, in a hope-filled reminder that conscience and moral courage can lead to action that challenges injustice.
