60. LAWRENCE OF BURMA: DADLAND

Generously supported by
THE HILLARY CHARITABLE TRUST

Local and award-winning author, Keggie Carew recounts how, as her ageing father descended into dementia, she undertook a quest to learn about his past, not least his time during the Second World War. Parachuted behind the lines into France, he was then posted to Burma and fought with Burmese guerillas helping not only to defeat Japan but win their independence too.
