Helen
Helen Carr is an award nominated writer, historian and broadcaster specialising in medieval history and public history. Author of the best-selling The Red Prince: John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster and co-author and editor of What is History, Now? Helen’s next book, Sceptred Isle: The Revolutionary Fourteenth Century, will be published by Hutchinson Heinemann (Penguin Random House) in 2025. Helen also writes for The Spectator, TLS and BBC History Magazine, and is an elected fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Helen is currently with Queen Mary University London.
