Festival talks by Gillian Perry

45. ANNE FRANK: HER LIFE AND LIGHT

As the co-founder and former Chief Executive of the Anne Frank Trust UK, Gillian Perry is a leading authority on the life and inspirational legacy of the world’s most famous wartime diarist. She has met many who knew Anne Frank personally, and will also cover the remarkable impact on people of learning about Anne Frank’s life and writing, including in some of the most turbulent and violent regions of the world today.

We apologise for the change from the printed programme as Jacques Altmann has been advised by his doctor not to travel. We are, however, thrilled to welcome Gillian Perry.

Give a Book www.giveabook.org.uk is a UK charity (no 1149664) that gives books to people at times when they really need them. We work mainly in prisons and primary schools, giving books to disadvantaged or excluded children, those struggling with literacy or visiting family in prison; we also give books for prison reading groups, people in police cells, adults taking up literacy in prison, and more–all places where the gift of a book really makes a difference.
