Chris Fuller

Dr Christopher Fuller is Associate Professor in History at the University of Southampton. He specialises in U.S. foreign policy from 1945 to the present day and has a particular interest in the “War on Terror” and wider U.S. counterterrorism practices, and wrote his first book, See It/Shoot It: The Secret History of the CIA’s Lethal Drone Program on this topic. He is co-editor of a forthcoming volume, Using Law to Fight Terror: Legal Approaches to Combating Violent Non-State Actors, which features both practitioners and scholars exploring ways in which legal architecture can be better leveraged to enhance our counterterrorism efforts. His current research explores the concept of the United States as a post-territorial empire, and the double-edged role played by technology in both enabling, and undermining this.
