82. THE CUT OUT GIRL: A STORY OF WAR AND FAMILY, LOST AND FOUND

Generously supported by
WILLIAM & GIGI SALOMON

Lien de Jong last saw her parents when, aged 8, she was collected at the door by a stranger and taken to a family far away to be hidden from the Nazis. She never saw her parents or a single member of her family again. Lien de Jong is flying from Holland especially to discuss her struggle as a young girl to survive Nazi persecution and the powerful love, and challenges of foster families with Bart van Es, a grandson of her foster parents, and the most recent overall Costa Prize winner.
