39. WARSAW 1944: HITLER, HIMMLER AND THE CRUSHING OF A CITY

Generously supported by

The Warsaw Uprising saw the largest battlefield massacre of WWII. For more than sixty days Polish fighters fought off some of the most brutal German forces Hitler had at his disposal, but Stalin refused to help the Poles. Professor Richie will put the Warsaw Uprising in the context of the war on the eastern front, and explain why both Hitler and Stalin treated the city with such contempt.
