Stories have been told round a fire as long as there have been fires and people. At this fireside Clare Goodall will tell us stories from medieval Europe. So many such tales are lost but these survived, written down by the by the likes of Chaucer and Christine de Pizan: tales of wise animals and foolish kings, stories that inspired Shakespeare, the triumphs and tragedies of love, and the dangers of any dealings with the Fey.
