THE GULF WARS: HOW THEY SHAPED THE MODERN WORLD

History Hit Outdoor Stage, Wed 23rd June 19:15 - 20:15 (60 mins)

Major General Patrick Cordingley fought in the first Gulf War and was a BBC commentator in the second. For five years in between he lived and travelled extensively in the Middle East. From these experiences, and to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1st Gulf War, he will explain how the actions of the West have caused the havoc that exists there today, and why this makes the world a more dangerous place.
