A FARM WALK – A HISTORY OF FARMING AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE WILDLIFE AND LANDSCAPE OF THE CHALKE VALLEY

History Walks, Wed 26th June 11:00 - 13:00 (120 mins)

Join farmers  Richard and Katie Jowett and environmentalist Simon Smart for a walk across the farmland surrounding the History Festival to explore the modern farmed landscape, including the crops grown and the livestock kept. We will also discuss how farming through history has created the local landscape and shaped many of its environmental and historic features.
