Sisters Pat Davies and Jean Argles will reveal, in conversation with Simon Robinson, the secret work they carried out during WWII. As a Special Duties (Linguist) ‘Y’ in the WRNS, Pat intercepted Enigma code and plain language from German warships & naval bases, including E-boats for Bletchley Park and the Royal Navy.
Jean, meanwhile, served as Code & Cipher officer with the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry working for Special Operations Executive (S.O.E) supporting the resistance and underground operations in Northern Europe and then the Mediterranean.
