Robert Graves as war poet and the poems he suppressed in an effort to put the war behind him have been largely neglected – until now. Jean Moorcroft Wilson will trace not only Graves’s compelling life, but also the development of his poetry during the First World War, his thinking about the conflict and his talents as a master prose writer and author of the revealing memoir Good-bye to All That.
This year at the History Festival for Schools ESU trainers will be conducting a series of short “Discover Your Voice” workshops. These half hour workshops are intended as an introduction for the full day workshops which the ESU offers to schools. The purpose of the highly enjoyable “Discover your Voice” programme is to develop students’ public speaking and general communication skills. Details of the ESU’s complete range of programmes can be found at esu.org
